El domingo 23 de septiembre la Asociaci\u00f3n de Fomento y Biblioteca Popular Alvear, Avellaneda 542, realiz\u00f3 un evento para celebrar el D\u00eda de las Bibliotecas Populares.
Participaron autoridades, docentes, alumnos e invitados que se sumaron para festejar ese d\u00eda.
Arnaldo Goenaga, presidente de la instituci\u00f3n, dio la bienvenida y agradeci\u00f3 a quienes ponen su trabajo y esfuerzo en pos del crecimiento de la Asociaci\u00f3n.
Durante el evento hubo lecturas de textos a cargo de los integrantes de los talleres, y tambi\u00e9n interpretaciones del Grupo Cuenta Cuentos. Todo amenizado con m\u00fasica y sorteos de libros. Finalmente se comparti\u00f3 una merienda en un ameno clima de amistad y compa\u00f1erismo.<\/p>\n

Recordemos el 23 de septiembre de 1870, durante la presidencia de Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, siendo Ministro de Instrucci\u00f3n Nicol\u00e1s Avellaneda, naci\u00f3 la CONABIP (Comisi\u00f3n Nacional de Bibliotecas Populares) con el objetivo de fomentar la creaci\u00f3n y desarrollo de esas instituciones.
Es por este motivo que en el a\u00f1o 1990 se estableci\u00f3 el 23 de septiembre como el D\u00eda de las Bibliotecas Populares.<\/p>\n
